The Greek
journalist Katerina Akrivopoulou revealed in her facebook account,
the dialogue between Varoufakis and Moscovici after the rejection of
Moscovici's draft by Schäuble and Dijsselbloem. Moscovici said that
they should inform first Dijsselbloem about this draft of intermediate agreement that could allow the Greek government to
"breathe". After the rejection by Dijsselbloem who
obviously spoken already with Schäuble, the following short dialogue
took place:
- 'Pierre
what did we say?' the Greek FinMin said to Moscovici and the answer
was:
- 'Well,
since this is what the president of the eurogroup suggests, we cannot
disagree Yanis'
- 'But we
[the Greek side] disagree, what you are asking to sign is an
extension of the memorandum and we are not going to accept it'
Varoufakis answered.
Then, the
eurogroup began, where Schäuble had a very brief speech. He didn't
have to tell much actually. The job had already done.
